Education / Experience
I received my initial BA and MBA degrees in Marketing and Management, respectively from Davenport University located in Dearborn, Michigan. After becoming restless in retail management, I began my fourteen plus year career in the banking industry, primarily as an underwriter and credit officer. While in banking, I was fortunate enough to realize my purpose in life. With encouragement and support from my closest friends and family, I made the decision to return to school to study psychology.
I was honored to be accepted into the graduate program at Hope International University in Anaheim, California (COAMFTE accredited). Following three years of hard work, I received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and became a member of Delta Kapa International Honor Society. During my last year of school, I trained at the highly regarded, Southern California Counseling Center (SCCC) and later completed my required client hours. I currently volunteer at SCCC as a Supervisor for pre-licensed clinicians obtaining their required hours.
Specialties
I work primarily with BIPOC clients who struggle with managing symptoms from Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, Grief and Antagonistic Relationships / Narcissistic Abuse. My main goal, in addition to helping clients heal, is to empower them to use their intuition as a guide for direction and to determine the best course of action. I choose this approach because I truly believe that our gut instincts are rarely, if ever, wrong. Empowering clients to listen to themselves, helps them to reach their destinies and purposes.
