Hello There,

If you are visiting my page, you are likely on your journey to find a new therapist. Well, let me be the first to say welcome and thank you for visiting my website. I know you have several therapists to choose from. So, I  appreciate the opportunity to potentially work with you in the future.

Please, allow me to introduce myself. I am Cristal Cunningham (formerly Cristal Baker), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and President of Crystal Dawn Family Therapy, Prof. Corp. I also work a with a wonderful non-profit organization called Minds Matter of Los Angeles.

My clients consist of individuals, couples and adolescents of varying ethnicities, sexual orientations and identities. Many of them seek therapy due to issues related to everyday life, work, school, family or intimate relationships. Since my clients have diverse backgrounds, they may also deal with societal and cultural pressures, discrimination and other traumas. These challenges can create symptoms related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, behavioral issues, low self-worth and even suicidal ideation.

I understand these challenges and the associated fear and pain. As such, my goal as a relational therapist is to provide secure emotional support and validation in a non-judgmental environment. I achieve this by [a] collaborating with you, [b] talking through relational and personal challenges and [c] introducing techniques / skills to help you conquer symptoms and maladaptive behaviors. Additionally, the primary therapeutic approaches I utilize are Gestalt, Attachment, Strength Based, and EMDR.

If my approach to therapy seems like a good fit for you, please go to the “Contact Me” menu tab to request additional information. Lastly, congratulations on taking this journey and I look forward to hearing from you!
